How much exercise?

A Viewpoint in the Journal of the American Medical Association raised this issue. The authors observe that there is no upper limit demonstrating a health hazard.  However, there seems to be no benefit ( in terms of mortality) for exercise above 100 minutes per day. However, perhaps of greater public health significance, is that 8 to 10 minutes per day is associated with lower mortality.

A prospective cohort of 416 175 individuals (199 265 men and 216 910 women) from Taiwan with 8.5 year follow provide some quantification of this dose response of exercise on mortality.
